One of our biggest goals at Rockscape Design is to live up to our slogan “The Natural Choice in Muskoka”. We love adding to an existing landscape to give it the pop our clients are looking for in terms of colour and “wow factor” but attempt to do this by using naturally exisiting planting and by intermixing our planting pockets for lots of impact.
This property has amazed us since it sprouted up in the spring of 2009 after it was planted late summer-early fall of the year before. These clients are not afraid of adding lots of colour, better yet they are open to, excited about and constantly looking to add more colour to their landscape – the results? Breathtaking.
This natural grand staircase staircase is complimented and its impact is dramatically raised by the addition of lots of tall and colourful perennials that flower for most of July and August.
Annabelle Hydrangea’s are always a thriller in the garden – these high performing shrubs look fantastic against a home – especially one with dark siding such as this particular house. The massive white blooms have added interest with the orange lillies that surround them.
All the colour from the cottage angle looking out to the water is especially stunning. From the windows of the cottage the pops of colour against the brilliant blue of the lake create a gorgeous backdrop for a dinner with the family, a party with friends, or even a quiet morning with a cup of coffee!
